After a successful first conference in 2025, this year's event looks at the real-world impact of the Renters' Rights Act, almost six months after it came into force.
Organised by DASH Services, the conference will give landlords, letting agents and housing professionals practical advice on compliance and a clearer picture of how the reforms are reshaping the private rented sector.
Linda Cobb OBE, Principal Manager of DASH Services, said: "The response to our 2025 East Midlands Housing Conference exceeded all expectations, demonstrating the demand for clear, independent advice. This year's event comes at a crucial time as landlords begin to navigate the practical implications of the Renters' Rights Act."
The agenda
Housing law specialist David Smith and Suzanne Smith, author of The Good Landlord Handbook, will give the keynote presentations. Expert speakers will also lead interactive workshops throughout the day, including a demo and Q&A on the new Register your rental property database from Sharan Flora at the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. Other highlights include:
Student Landlords: Six Months In - How Bad Is It Really?

They'll cover what's working, what isn't and what landlords have learnt so far, with honest experiences, key challenges and practical survival strategies.
An exhibition of organisations that support landlords and housing professionals will run alongside the conference.
